Truckerson is a most imposing character. Self-confident,
undaunted by setbacks, he marches through life, often oblivious
to the mayhem that ensues. He touches the lives of Hitler,
Stalin, Von Braun, helps invent RADAR and the ‘bouncing bomb’,
wins the Battle of Britain almost single-handed and later saves
the whole of the planet from destruction by a comet, plus ‘that
other thing’. What more is there to say?
Truckerson is a timeless feel-good story for those who loved
Biggles as children, laughed at the absurdity of Catch-22 and
refuse to grow old gracefully.
This is humorous writing tinged with serious thought and is
dedicated to all the ‘Truckersons’ of this world, and the good
they inadvertently do.
